VACANCY - COMMUNITY RUGBY MANAGER


The Manawatū Rugby Union is seeking applicants for the role of Community Rugby Manager. We are looking for a strong people manager and systems leader to be responsible for enabling our people to lead, inspire, and belong at all levels of rugby. The role is responsible for Union operational areas such as event management, organisational health and safety, procurement and management of apparel and equipment, and to provide leadership and support for the Manawatū Rugby Union Community Rugby team.

What we're looking for

  • Experience as a sports leader, preferably in sports or non-profit organisations
  • Sport event management experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; quick to learn new software
  • Discreet and professional with confidential information
  • Proactive and positive attitude
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Ability to build effective relationships at all levels
  • Willingness to take ownership and accountability
